Sour Cream and Jives has just revived, by popular demand, and after the inspiration from a beloved friend, Tara Jean, to share our top “memorable” songs from twenty ten. Here’s a few good eardrum-worthy tracks from the Tara-Jean selection. Picture moving cross-county outdoors in the Fall and stopping to dance around for a few with favorite individuals…and maybe some hiking.
Real Estate. Note the image below that shows while the tune plays. Pretty sure we drank that same beer and left that same cocktail glass on our own old table. “Out of Tune.”
Here’s a closer look at Mumford and Sons. This is why an accordion is in demand within a collection of guitars, ukuleles, banjo and various keyboards. Fickle your hearts and awake that soul.
Plants and Animals gone subtle. ”Faerie Dance” – A fucking weird kind of beautiful. Makes me think of Spring. “There might be rain, but not for certain.”
Beach House ”Real Love” ….is it getting colder or are we just getting the chills? (…getting the chills…) I do not regret going to see Grizzly Bear early enough to see the opening band, Beach House, once. Listen to the WHOLE thing. After you listen to the song at its completion, listen to their whole album. Amazeballs, from start to finish.
Menomena. Pronounced exactly how it’s spelled. (According to Animal from Sesame Street.) I discovered this song while playing ping-pong with a stranger. Bragged about it on Facebook and a few good like-minded humans were on the same page.
Broken Social Scene. “Sweetest Kill” – if you get headaches easily, or get paranoid easily, don’t watch the video… just SHHH and listen.
